Uniden Bearcat U/BCD260DN Digital Scanner

By Georg Wiessala

Following on his review of the Uniden Bearcat U/BC160DN in the June issue, this month Georg looks at the U/BCD260DN. While it does not decode APCO P25 or follow trunked transmissions, you’ll need to upgrade to much pricier scanners to do so, it does decode DMR and NDXN digital modes in addition to legacy analog transmissions from 25-1300 MHz. Georg finds it also works well with computer programs that receive non-voice signals.
